Statements

Make customer statements, such as a monthly volume statement, from your flow data. Nexra works out the totals, and a person approves each statement before anything can send it.

On this page

A statement is a document you send a customer that sums up a period, made from a template and your own data. The first template is the monthly volume statement: the customer, the period, the volume delivered each day, the total, the invoice references and a short note. It suits anyone who bills by volume, such as gas, power, water or logistics.

Nexra adds up the totals itself, so a statement always matches its own lines. Every statement waits for a person's approval, and nothing can send it before then.

Open Connect → Statements in the console.

Make a statement

In the console: choose Make statement, then enter the customer, the period, the unit (for example MWh), the volumes by day, any invoice references and a note.

In a flow: the statements.generate built-in step makes one from your metering or billing data, for example at the end of each month.

With Nexra Agent: give it the figures and ask for a statement. It prepares the request and a different person who manages records approves it.

Approve and send

Each new statement is Waiting for approval. Open it to see the preview, then a reviewer (an owner, admin or approver who did not send it for approval) chooses Approve, or Send back with a short reason. A statement that was sent back can be sent for approval again, or you can make a new one with corrected figures. An approval that nobody decides within 14 days expires.

Once approved:

Print or save as PDF from the statement page, or Download it as a web page.

A flow can read it with the statements.get built-in step and attach it to an e-mail. That e-mail is an ordinary write, so it follows your approval policies too. Before approval, statements.get returns only the statement's status, never the document.

Statement approvals also appear in Approvals and send the approval.requested and approval.decided webhook events.

Who can do what

Everyone who can see Connect, apart from documentation editors and billing administrators, can see statements.

Owners, admins, Connect operators and developers can make them.

Owners, admins and approvers can approve them.

Limits

Up to 400 days of volumes and 50 invoice references per statement. A note can be up to 1,000 characters. Text that starts like a spreadsheet formula (=, +, - or @) is refused.
