Workable

Read and write Workable candidates (create, update, move, comment, tag) and employees, and read jobs, stages, members, requisitions and departments.

Bring candidates in from sourcing channels, keep pipelines moving and push hires into the Workable HRIS or downstream systems.

Validation status

Implemented · fixture tested.

Implementation is checked against provider-shaped fixtures for every action, authentication failures, rate limits, pagination and duplicate safety. Provider sandbox and authorised account validation are recorded separately when credential-backed runs are completed.

Authentication

Workable API access token

Plans and access

API access tokens are available on all Workable plans; employee endpoints require Workable HR. Tokens carry scopes chosen at creation (r_jobs, r_candidates, w_candidates, r_employees, w_employees, r_account). r_employees exposes confidential employee data.

Test environment

A Workable free trial account can be used for testing.

Rate limits

Workable rate limits per token and returns HTTP 429 with Retry-After; the current reference does not publish the limit values.

Provider events

Subscriptions for candidate_created, candidate_moved and employee events. Nexra event triggers are not yet available; flows run on demand or on a schedule.

Before you build a flow

  • Job and requisition salary ranges and offer document variables (compensation) are not returned.
  • Employee personal fields (birth date, gender, marital status, salary, tax and identity documents) are never written or returned.
  • Disqualification, ratings, relocation, copying candidates, talent pool candidates and file uploads are not implemented.
  • Candidate, comment and employee creates have no idempotency key; uncertain writes are not repeated automatically.
  • Rate limit values and the employee create body's minimum required fields are not published in the reference (unverified).
