Access and limits

- A Dojah account with an app; lookups and screenings are charged to your prepaid wallet. Live lookups need a funded wallet; Dojah answers 402 when the balance is too low.
- Test environment
- Sandbox keys use sandbox.dojah.io with Dojah's published test data (for example RC number 1261103) and are never charged.
- Rate limits
- Dojah answers 429 when you send too many requests; Nexra backs off and honours Retry-After.
- Pagination
- Dojah returns one page of verifications per call; lookups return one record.
- Provider events
- Dojah posts finished verification widget sessions to your webhook address, signed with x-dojah-signature (hex HMAC-SHA256 of the body with the subscription's webhook secret). Flows can start the moment something happens: when a verification is completed; when a verification fails; when a customer abandons a verification.
Before you build a flow
- Lookups and screenings are charged to your Dojah wallet; screenings are approval-gated and never repeated automatically.
- NIN, BVN, phone number and ID number lookups are not offered because Dojah takes those numbers in the address of the request. Use Dojah's verification widget for them; results reach Nexra with the numbers masked.
- Selfie and document checks are not offered, so face and document images never pass through flows.
- Verification results show ID numbers masked and never pass on images, files or raw government data.
- List verifications reads one page of results per call.
Developer reference
- Create the Dojah credentials described above with the narrowest permissions your flows need.
- In Nexra, open Connect, then Connections, then New connection, choose Dojah, enter its settings and credentials, and tick only the write actions you need. Connection guide
