Databricks

Unity Catalog metadata, bounded parameterised SQL searches, Delta MERGE/INSERT, statement results and Lakeflow job runs.

Feed lakehouse tables from operational flows, read curated results back and trigger downstream jobs safely.

Validation status

Implemented · fixture tested.

Implementation is checked against provider-shaped fixtures for every action, authentication failures, rate limits, pagination and duplicate safety. Provider sandbox and authorised account validation are recorded separately when credential-backed runs are completed.

What you can map

catalogs
  • List catalogs
    Source

Lists Unity Catalog catalogs visible to the principal.

    catalogs.list
columns
  • List columns
    Source

Lists a table's columns from Unity Catalog.

    columns.list
job runs
  • Run job now
    Destination
    Not retried automatically
    Approval before production

Triggers a run of an existing job with optional job parameters. Databricks guarantees one run per idempotency token.

    job_runs.create
  • Get job run
    Source

Reads one job run with its state.

    job_runs.get
  • List job runs
    Source
    Incremental

Lists job runs, newest first, optionally for one job and since a start time.

    job_runs.list
jobs
  • List jobs
    Source

    Lists Lakeflow (Workflows) jobs.

    jobs.list
rows
  • Insert row
    Destination
    Not retried automatically
    Approval before production

INSERTs one row into a table with named parameters.

    rows.create
  • Search table rows
    Source
    Incremental

Runs a generated, parameterised SELECT (validated columns, filters, updated-since and LIMIT) on the SQL warehouse.

    rows.search
  • Upsert row
    Destination
    Not retried automatically
    Approval before production

MERGEs one row into a Delta table by key columns with named parameters.

    rows.upsert
schemas
  • List schemas
    Source

    Lists schemas in a catalog.

    schemas.list
statements
  • Get statement result
    Source

Reads a statement's status and first chunk, or a later result chunk.

    statements.get
tables
  • Get table
    Source

Reads a table's metadata and columns.

    tables.get
  • List tables
    Source

Lists tables and views in a schema.

    tables.list

Authentication

Personal access token or OAuth M2M service principal

Plans and access

Databricks Premium or Enterprise with Unity Catalog and a SQL warehouse. The token's user or service principal needs CAN USE on the SQL warehouse, Unity Catalog privileges on the tables and CAN MANAGE RUN on triggered jobs.

Test environment

Databricks offers a 14-day trial and the Free Edition.

Rate limits

Workspace API rate limits apply per endpoint (HTTP 429 with Retry-After); statement execution concurrency follows the warehouse size.

Pagination

page_token for Unity Catalog and Jobs; generated LIMIT/OFFSET for row searches.

Provider events

Job notification webhooks (configured per job). Nexra event triggers are not yet available; flows run on demand or on a schedule.

Before you build a flow

  • Free-form SQL is not accepted; only generated SELECT, MERGE and INSERT statements with named parameters run.
  • Searches, writes and job runs consume billable compute (DBUs) and are not retried automatically.
  • Statements wait up to 45 seconds and are cancelled after that; results above 25 MiB (INLINE) are not returned.
  • Job creation, editing, cancellation and deletion are not implemented.

Developer reference

  1. Create the Databricks credentials described above with the narrowest permissions your flows need.
  2. In Nexra, open Connect, then Connections, then New connection, choose Databricks, enter its settings and credentials, and tick only the write actions you need. Connection guide
  3. Test the connection, then use its actions as flow sources and destinations. Flow guide
