Coda
Read Coda docs, pages, tables, columns, formulas and controls; insert, upsert and update table rows; track asynchronous mutations.
Use Coda tables as lightweight operational databases and keep doc content in sync with other systems.

Validation status
Implemented · fixture tested.
Implementation is checked against provider-shaped fixtures for every action, authentication failures, rate limits, pagination and duplicate safety. Provider sandbox and authorised account validation are recorded separately when credential-backed runs are completed.
What you can map
columns
- List columnsSource
Columns of a table with their formats (types) and formula flags.
controls
- List controlsSource
Controls (sliders, selects, buttons) in a doc with their current values.
docs
- List docsSource
Docs the token can access.
formulas
- List named formulasSource
Named formulas in a doc with their current values.
mutations
- Get mutation statusSource
Whether an asynchronous row or page write has been applied.
page content
- Read page contentSource
Plain-text lines of a canvas page with their styles, for search and AI flows.
pages

Pages (canvases) in a doc.
- Update pageDestinationNot retried automatically
Renames a page or appends, prepends or replaces its content (asynchronous).
rows

Inserts a row (asynchronous). Returns the new row ID and a mutation request ID.
- Get rowSource
A single row by ID.
- List rowsSource
Rows of a table, optionally filtered by one column value and sorted by update time.
- Update rowDestinationDuplicate protected
Updates cells on a row by ID (asynchronous).
- Upsert rowDestinationDuplicate protected
Updates the row whose key columns match, or inserts one (asynchronous). Coda's documented upsert.
tables

Authentication
Coda API token
Plans and access
All Coda plans; API tokens can be restricted to specific docs or tables. The token acts as the user who created it.
Test environment
Use a free Coda account and a test doc.
Rate limits
Reads 100 requests per 6 seconds; writes 10 per 6 seconds; doc content writes 5 per 10 seconds; listing docs 4 per 6 seconds. HTTP 429.
Provider events
Coda automations can call webhooks; there is no provider event subscription API. Nexra event triggers are not yet available; flows run on demand or on a schedule.
Before you build a flow
- Row and page writes are asynchronous (HTTP 202). Use Get mutation status with the returned requestId to confirm completion.
- Row inserts without key columns have no idempotency key; uncertain inserts are not repeated automatically.
- Button pushes, automation triggers, doc creation, sharing (ACL) changes and deletes are not implemented.
- Page content is read as plain text lines; page export to HTML or Markdown files is not implemented.
- The API is now documented under the Superhuman Docs brand; the base path remains https://coda.io/apis/v1.
