Circle with Nexra

Connected, approved, proven.

The things teams do most with Circle, an example flow with a person in the loop, and what Nexra keeps as proof.

Top actions

  • Pay out to a bank accountbank_payouts.createApproval by rule
  • Request a stablecoin paymentpayment_intents.createApproval by rule
  • List balancesbalances.listRead

Example flow

  1. Circle · List balancesbalances.listDone
  2. Circle · Pay out to a bank accountbank_payouts.createMaker-checker
  3. Nexra · Record the decision and result in the evidence chainProven

Example workflow. Routine runs go through on their own. Only a change your rules flag, such as one over a limit you set, waits for the right person, who sees the exact change and the rule before it reaches Circle.

What gets logged

  • Whether it ran on its own or who approved it, and under which rule
  • A fingerprint of the exact request sent to Circle
  • Circle's reply: what it created or changed
  • One entry in the evidence chain, linked to the one before

Try this in the sandbox

Run the whole flow with test data in your sandbox, then connect a Circle test account before you go live.

Access and limits

Authentication
Circle Mint API key
Plans and access
A Circle Mint business account with an API key. Payment intents, stablecoin payouts and currency conversions are products Circle enables per account; production keys only reach the APIs your account is approved for.
Test environment
Create a free sandbox account at app-sandbox.circle.com and an API key there. Sandbox transactions use test networks and move no real funds.
Rate limits
Circle applies per-key limits. HTTP 429 and Retry-After are honoured with bounded retries.
Pagination
pageSize up to 50 with from/to time windows; the Link header's next page is followed when Circle sends one.
Provider events
Circle Mint sends notifications for deposits, transfers, payouts, payments and payment intents to a subscribed URL Flows run on demand, on a schedule, or when a scheduled check finds new or changed records.

Before you build a flow

  • Event triggers: Nexra checks the dated lists (transfers, deposits, payouts, payments, payment intents, conversions) on a schedule you pick; Circle Mint's own notification subscriptions are not used
  • Payments run through your own Circle account exactly as you set them up: on-chain sends, bank payouts, stablecoin payouts and refunds run when you enable the write on the connection and publish the flow. Add limits or approval rules if you want, and daily reconciliation shows what moved.
  • Payouts and settlements: Circle Mint bank payouts are redemptions to your own bank account; payments received settle straight to your Circle balance.
  • Disputes: stablecoin payments have no card-style chargebacks.
  • Intentional exclusions: booking currency conversions (FX trades and tradable quotes), creating deposit or recipient addresses, linking bank accounts, address book changes, cross-entity transfers, credit lines and report downloads.
  • Bank account numbers, billing names and addresses, and recipient identity details are not returned.

Developer reference

  2. In Nexra, open Connect, then Connections, then New connection, choose Circle, enter its settings and credentials, and tick only the write actions you need. Connection guide
  3. Test the connection, then use its actions as flow sources and destinations. Flow guide
